SCENE STEALER won
Well, SCENE STEALER won the race last night with MISS BOBON coming in fourth. She led all the way start to finish and still had plenty to spare at the finish against the favorite BLUE BOLERO. A little snag happened with the jockey louie balboa not using stirrups on his heels during the race. Luckily, SCENE STEALER did not stop running with his numerous whips.
Also tonight three of my racehorses will run, SIMPLY STRONG, LOLITA and I DON'T DANCE. I just hope all of them will win.Thursday, August 11, 2005
two racehorses running
These are my two racehorses who will be running against each other tonight at the Santa Ana Park in Makati Philippines. I think that the chestnut horse, SCENE STEALER would win the race. MISS BOBON, the bay filly is not yet in peak condition.
The children around the horse include my wife. Everett and our three nephews, Aika, Leklek and Alyssa. These were taken about three years ago. That one of SCENE STEALER was on an early morning workout also in Santa Ana Park many years back.
I do hope that he wins tonight. We need the money.
Ciao.morning feelings
It's a beautiful wednesday morning. I discovered numerous useful things on the internet using my daughter's laptop Indeed, it's refreshing to be home and enjoy the weather and see the sights around us.
Worked on my articles and columns on the magazines. Also made a few phone calls for some of our personal businesses. Looked at my very beautiful kois in my home's gazebo...

playing along in a cool manila afternoon
I 've been thinking about two opportunities to get busy with. One is a horseracing magazine that will be published monthly. Another is a weekly horseracing tabloid that will definitely earn money in the long turn. I also have this idea of a coffee table book that talks about horseracing history in our country.
Nice ideas but these would all eat up my precious time. I have been working hard these past 25 years and again I would begin to break my back. I ask myself. For what?
Modesty aside, I think I did well in realizing my simple dreams. From a non-sensical istambay and college dropout in the 70's, I thank the Lord for changing my life. Maybe I should really get busy and help more people. But can I cope with the pressures?
It's 4:30 pm and I'm here at National Book Store after I'm done with two earlier meetings. Now, I have to wait until 5:30 pm to again bet on racehorses which I really enjoy the most.. I don't have any horses running today. Maybe, thursday or friday and I pray that all of them win.
Ciao..
reflections
I am an Aquarian, almost 50 summers in this world and hopelessly crazy about animals, dogs, koi fish and racing thoroughbreds.
I worked for many long years in Philippine broadcast media and honestly,it was fun despite the numerous pitfalls and intrigues of the game. I have retired now and wonderfully enjoying this very peaceful and stress-free life.
This blog would hopefully be the chronicler of this new history unfolding before my eyes. Welcome and join me in this new adventure of life.
