Our hometown, Barrio Bobon, Mercedes Eastern Samar will be celebrating the feast of St. Francis Of Assisi this Saturday. This makes the 3rd win of my racing filly, MISS BOBON even sweeter. She did great honor to my racing kababayans and at the same time proved her critics wrong when she won by three lengths last night at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite.
She led from wire to wire over second placer SURE PAY while the favorites CADEN DANCE, SOVEREIGN DANCER and SECRET ANGEL struggled to match her stirring speed at the first two quarters. MISS BOBOM was timed 1:38 for the 1500 meter distance.
Although she was a bit tiring at the final 50 meters , she respnded gallantly to the urguing and whip of Jockey LD BALBOA. I told my trainer Boy Tanagon that we should give MISS BOBON long workouts to put more wind and better stamina. She is still in a very low group 4-2a and being a big racehorse, she can continuously improve and emulate her mother CHARDONNAY and siblings I DON'T DANCE and KANTAYOK. Anyway, wasnt it just a few years ago that MISS BOBON clashed with the very classy COVER GIRL?
