This is a view from the third floor looking at the gazebo and fishpond-garden grotto outside the sala. My living room in the third floor where spending the afternoons is heaven because of the strong winds from the mountains of San Mateo and MOntalban. This is my 3rd floor coffee table where I read the morning papers and enjoy the morning view, of course with my flower horn fishes at the background. This is our entertainment tv where the playstation and karaoke shows are being held. The shih tzu in the foreground is chubby while the dachshund at the long end is Mikey who chases birds acrobatically. Yes they do not fall and often enjoys their stay in these narrow path every morning. I took pictures of my beautiful home in quezon city, philippines. MOst of these are just collections I made through the years. My wife says I am a good interior designer ( although it isn't true). More pictures next....

Tonight, MISS BOBON will be ridden by a new apprentice jockey, EC TOLENTINO in his first ride. (Miss bobon) He is considered a longshot because the pace is predicted to be an early speed battle with WRECKING BALL. But I hope MISS BOBON will win. FIVE O'CLOCK placed third last night in a scintillating race won by ROCKWELL. I think the class is too strong for her and maybe I can bring her down to two more groups. This way, she would be more competitive. (Simply strong) Tomorrow, SIMPLY STRONG is again another longshot and hopefully may win. I also expect DIABOLO DON and JABEZ to run on Saturday and Sunday. PRIDE AND JOY has developed bog spavin,says Dr. Dan, our veterinarian. This is swelling of the rear limbs because of the distention of her hock joint. She can run but the swelling is a bit unsightly. An example of this condition was the horse RED STRIKE who also developed this problem and is now racing. I guess we have to really take care of her in the coming long months before she is able to run. Yesterday, JABEZ passed his barrier trial. Also DIABOLO DON and SCENE STEALER performed very well in their trials yesterday finishing close 5th and 3rd from very strong runners. Ciao.

It's been a while since I went to Batangas and I wasn't able to post the pictures of Mr. Puyat's stalions. Well, here they are... This is BULL MARKET (Trading Range) who is the sire of all my yearlings and weanlings this year. This is KEY APO (Perugino) who was an undefeated sprinter here in the Philippines. This is AMERIGO (Rahy) who happens to be the sire of my Stolen Moment 2year old TUKMO. This last one is LOCHRAE (Scenic) who has sired beautiful but less boned weanlings in the ranch. C iao.

The blood analysis showed that PRIDE AND JOY had an infection which caused swelling on both her rear limbs. It swelled so much but she still walks with it a little heavier. Dr. Modomo prescribed antibiotics for her and she will continue her stall rests. I DONT DANCE is recovering very well from her recent knee chip surgery. Because she has no workouts, she is very agitated and very very alert. Quite dangerous because at this stage, she cannot overstretch her knees as they may reopen the wounds. What we are doing is that she be given another week's rest before she will besent back to the farm for natural rehab. ciao
