This 5-year old mare is on a rampage trouncing her rivals in a wire to wire finish with still plenty to spare. She did a respectable time of 19' 24' 24' 29'= 1:37 for the 1500 meters at the Santa Ana Park. She beat STEEL SMASHER and the favorites GIGI'S GOLD and LONG HITTER winning by at least 3 lengths.
Jeff Zarate told me that the toungue was effective and in thefirst quarter, she just let her run her race. And at the top of the stretch , she responded a little more to win as third favorite...
Congratulations to us...

Well, it was a sad and horrific day for me at the SLLP, after my horse figured in a near fatal accident at the starting gate . This was a big event and I was expecting MR, VICTORY to win but he ran without a jockey.
He was caught by a two horses sandwiching him leaving the jockey with no choice but to pull up. This caused the horse tio misstep and then stumble at the gate... It was a nightmare for me to watch my prized horse running around the track, not knowing what will happen to him. A month ago, I saw Putch Puyat's horse FENG SHUI die after gouing around for times at the SLLP track. thanks for having an intelligent racehorse like Mr. Victory who was really conscious of possible accidents as he carefully walked back to his stables....
After examination, he just had a slight bruise at this leg. Nothing to worry about so , we would be running him this Saturday or Sunday for a tune-up race....
At least , he was star. His spill was covered with a very nice picture at the sports section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer today..
On another note, this afternoon, my other horse, MISS VICTORY will be running her first barrier trial race at the Sta. Ana Park in Makati..... Let's see how she performs....

ciao..

It was a good week at the SLLP when myracehorse EXPEDITER won quite handily over MEDAL'S TIME and RAVISHING RAFFY. Ridden by Jockey Jt Zarte, the horse negotiated the 1500 meters in 1:38' time with plenty to spare. He took off sixth at the start but exploded at the far turn to thierd position and eventually leading at the top of the stretch.
SCENE STEALER was just third but he did run a gallant race after being challenged all the way.. Next week, our baby horse MISS VICTORY will runb her barrier trial and then into her first maiden race probably next weekend.
Ciao...
