My foal KEY VICTORY has an eye infection
I got a call two day ago from Mariano, our farm manager in Batangas saying that our month old KEY VICTORY is having diarrhea, the cause of which could be colic or ulcers or anything.. Boy called up Doc Modomo to rush to Batangas but before that happened Mariano reported that the horse was improving and maybe out of danger.
However, this morning doc Miranda calls me and said that there is an infection in both eyes of this foal so he had to put her on anti-biotic for about a week... He says not to worry because a lot of his patients have been cured from this malaise... I told him that this foal is a sister to champion MR. VICTORY... So, he says, he will take care of her...
Our prayers are needed at this point....
MR.VICTORY's final workout was very good
The above are pictures of Mr. Victory after his morning workout at the San Lazaro Leisure Park. I caught on his afternoon stroll just outside the Puyat stables. He was pretty happy with his groom, Dino at his side.
The picture is his final workout last Tuesday with Jockey Dunoy Raquel aboard. He was timed an impressive 27 25 24= 1:16 in 1200 meters....He looked so good in this run that Doc Alcasid was visibly impressed. Late arrival JT Zararte says he has high regards for the horse and short of saying that we will win the race....

MISS BOBON wins,2 horses are second placers
She was at the finish line about 5 to 6 lengths ahead of her rivals.... MISS BOBON ran wire to wire and was timed 1:38 for the 1500 meters distance at the Santa Ana Park in Makati. Expertly ridden by top jockey JT ZARATE, MISS BOBON, also the betting favorite, trounced her rivals with a very easy win..
This week, SCENE STEALER and newcomer BOBON LANCER finished second and both ran very very well into the finish line.... LIRAO was a disappointing 6th after his jockey misread the pace of the race....
Anyway it was a good week for us...
