On October 8, I went to Shanghai with a our Tuesday Club members (groups of Filipino mediamen) for a 4 days-3 nights vacation.
It was a fantastic trip full of educational insights, new friends and a lot of soul searching. Would you believe we went to mass Sunday in a Catholic church in Shanghai where we met a lot of Filipinos?
I also had the opportunity of dining at the very expensive DYNASTY restaurant where everything you see is gold (tables, fixtures and everything).
We also climbed the 88 story Ji Jian building and went to the underground pedestrian tunnel beneath the HUANG PO river.
Also did a lot of shopping at the tiangge market and in the 3-kilometer street market of various department stores.
Whew.....it was such a great experience. I'm hoping that I can bring GAil and Everett there next year if given another chance.
